Aihole, an Evolution in Stone-cut Hindu Architecture.
Aihole is an architectural and archaeological delight, with multiple temples dating back to the Chalukyan period, as well as ancient and medieval Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain structures in Karnataka that span from the sixth to the twelfth centuries CE. Visitors are mesmerised by the red and yellow hues of sandstones sourced from neighboring hills that have been exposed to changing seasons for ages.
